RomCo’s 2025 New Year’s Resolutions:
Read more swoon-worthy hard copies in public.
Tell men that I only read serious literature when I see Infinite Jest on their shelf. Proceed to discuss Ice Planet Barbarians.
Use ‘turgid’ in at least five conversations (luckily RomCo doesn’t have an HR department.)
Wear a bodice. Rip said bodice.
Convince someone I am a dragon-shifter. Small still children count.
Whenever someone mentions an advanced degree say: I would have been a great proficient, had I ever learned.
Incite a duel so that my husband is forced to defend my honor.
Search the local woods for multi-centenarian fae—probably my last year before I age out of their dating pool.
Discover a mythical creature that is just beyond romance redemption.
Continue writing about the genre, characters, and stories we all love so much.
Hi everyone!
On a more serious note, these past few months have been so exciting! It means the world to me to have found a community of like-minded peers. Heading into 2025, most of my actual New Year’s resolutions center around Romance & Co. I want to ensure that I’m providing content that resonates most with all of you. While I will certainly continue to write about topics that interest me, there are so many to choose from—so a little direction from you would be incredibly helpful.
I also plan to formalize my writing schedule in early 2025. There will either be a weekly or fortnightly free newsletter (see poll below). Additionally, I’m creating a separate subscription for those interested in book reviews. Paid subscribers will receive one or two extra pieces a month, featuring interviews with authors, bookstore owners, reviewers, etc. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Wishing everyone an HEA in 2025!
xoxo RomCo
